Milk Carton Boat Races

“A Must Add to This Summers Calendar”

Community Events In Portland, Oregon

Are you ready for a special event for adults and kids alike? I think it’s safe to say that there will be no shortage of smiles and laughter at the milk carton boat races!

June is National Dairy month, and this June the Milk Carton Boat Races are back as a part of the Portland Rose Festival! What is the mission? To build a human powered boat with nothing more than recycled milk jugs and cartons! Then compete to set sail, row or paddle across the West Morland Park Casting Pond. What is your objective? To win the “Best in Show” milk can trophy of course!

So start now, get your friends, your family, your co-workers together and start building! What are you waiting for? There are four race classes; adults, children, family and corporate.
Needless to say, this will be a fun filled day in the park. Pack up a blanket and yummy lunch…..And let the races begin!

This event will be held at West Morland Park. Admission is free! For more details and rules please visit www.DairyFarmersOR.com
