The Lockwood Report: Daily Portland Housing Market Update for Jan 17th, 2021
As of Sunday, Jan 17th, 2021, in Portland there are a total of 1,157 active residential homes for sale, 1,237 pending listings and 850 properties sold in the most recent 30 day period. The average list price for all active residential listings in Portland is $615,825, while the average asking price for properties new on market in the last 30 days is $562,438. Residential homes for sale in Portland sold at an average price of $538,943 while newly listed properties came in higher on average, at $562,438.


Homes for sale in Portland are currently selling faster than new listings are coming on the market. For the most recent 30 day period, 850 properties sold and 840 came on the market. In summary, homes sold outpaced new listings by 10. As a point of reference, in the month prior, there were 1,190 sold listings and 800 properties that newly went on the market. Keep an eye on the number of pending listings in Portland (currently 1,237) because an increase or decrease in pending sales can sometimes shed light on the coming month's sales figures.
