Daily Portland Housing Market Update for May 6th, 2021As of Thursday, May 6th, 2021, in Portland there are a total of 1,063 active residential homes for sale, 1,988 pending listings and 1,188 properties sold in the most recent 30 day period. The average list price for all active residential listings in Portland is $622,495, while the average asking price for properties new on market in the last 30 days is $618,915. Residential homes for sale in Portland sold at an average price of $596,760 while newly listed properties came in higher on average, at $618,915.
New listings in Portland are outpacing sold properties. For the most recent 30 day period, 1,188 properties sold and 1,660 came on the market. In summary, new listings outpaced sales by 472. As a point of reference, in the month prior, there were 992 sold Portland residential listings while 1,405 homes for sale became available on the market. Keep an eye on the number of pending listings (currently 1,988) because an increase in pending sales may offset an increase in new listing inventory.
