The Lockwood Report: Daily Vancouver Housing Market Update for Jan 18th, 2020As of Saturday, Jan 18th, 2020, in Vancouver there are a total of 560 active residential homes for sale, 653 pending listings and 348 properties sold in the most recent 30 day period. The average list price for all active residential listings in Vancouver is $456,360, while the average asking price for properties new on market in the last 30 days is $408,517. Residential homes for sale in Vancouver sold at an average price of $391,982 while newly listed properties came in higher on average, at $408,517.
Homes for sale in Vancouver are currently selling faster than new listings are coming on the market. For the most recent 30 day period, 348 properties sold and 338 came on the market. In summary, homes sold outpaced new listings by 10. As a point of reference, in the month prior, there were 432 sold listings and 341 properties that newly went on the market. Keep an eye on the number of pending listings in Vancouver (currently 653) because an increase or decrease in pending sales can sometimes shed light on the coming month's sales figures.
